Difference

On the floor of my bathroom,
where the carpet’s rolled back,
because of the cat’s urine stain,
and you can see the chipboard,
there is a large watermark
that spreads out and darkens and stains
the would-be wood
with it’s sullen colour.
I’d never have noticed that before
you.
