    I’m sorry…non-happy poems, while often beautiful, reflect non-happy poets.

    I went over a month without writing a single poem, so I know how it feels. Things are just starting to come back to me. Try just writing, even if it’s gibberish – and I’m sure you’ve been told to try this before – but just write whatever comes to your mind, and oftentimes you’ll find there’s something to be salvaged from it. Many of my ideas for poems are fragments from something bigger and nonsensical.

    ALL of my poems come out that way.
    Very few are highly worked on.

    ….I just have to write out all the shit and then the good things will come out.
    Or at least, that’s what’s worked in the past
